4 Free Photos offers public domain and free stock images that are able to be previewed and downloaded (and used in presentations, handouts, etc.) at no cost. This growing library of images is a great place to look for ways to jazz up your work without the fear (or guilt) that you and/or your students will be in violation of the copyright law. With so much social media and access to almost anything on the web, it is important to teach students about copyright and about owner's rights. This site has a great number of pictures on various topics and might have somthing just right for your project.

An online storage site that offers users 5 GB of space to keep their documents and other files. The user can choose to make these public or to keep them private on a folder-by-folder basis. This is a great tool for both students and educators who need to share materials for projects or school work that is too large for e-mailing.

It is easy to locate online resources such as ready-to-use Web lessons, quizzes, rubrics and classroom calendars. There are also tools for student use. 60 Second Recap is an awesome new site that has one goal, they want to make the great works of literature accessible, relevant, and irresistible to today's teens. Using short (60 second) video albums, they seek to help teens engage with the best books out there ... not just to help them get better grades, but "to help them build better lives". Looks like a welcome and nice alternative for Cliff Notes and Spark Notes. Check this one out - it only takes a minute.

For instance, if you select Microsoft Office you would offered NeoOffice, Google Docs, etc. This is a brilliant idea and a great site. The suggestions are not always free, but the are listed clearly and reviewed succintly. Teachers are students can use this site to find altenatives to more expensive software and also see options that they have when wanting to use software for a specific purpose.
